Spring Queen’s Champion and Starkhafn Championship results

April 30th, 2012

Horses and riders from around Caid participated in two equestrian skill-at-arms championships on April 28, 2012. The Spring Queen’s Championship and the Starkhafn Baronial Equestrian Championship were held at Starkhafn’s 30th Anniversary celebration in Pahrump NV.

In the Spring Queen’s competition, Calafia rider Lord Gabriel Macmahon took the prize on his horse Cadet. He will retain his current title of Queen’s Champion until Great Western War in October. Second place went to Lady Heidr of Ironoak on Hot Apple Pie (“HAP” for short), owned by Lord Willem de Bathe.

Master Conall mac Seaghain took top honors in the Baronial competition, riding his Thoroughbred, Foxier.  Lady Rhua Cat Ifrinn took second place, mounted on a BLM mustang named Reynaud, owned by Mistress Melisande de Frayne.

Congratulations to the champions, and to all the human and equine competitors!
